Boadicea Resources is an exploration company with tenements in four (4) of Australia’s hottest exploration locations, the Fraser Range, Paterson Province, Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia and the Charters Towers region and Drummond Basin of North Queensland. We have a strong focus on exploring for metals to power the future, namely, nickel, cobalt, lithium, copper; and gold which provides a safe-haven to investments in times of turmoil.
In the Fraser Range, Boadicea holds 11 exploration licences north and south of IGO’s Nova Ni-Co-Cu mine covering an area of 919km2. Of particular note, Boadicea’s Symons Hill, Transline and White Knight tenements are each respectively located near IGO’s Nova Mine, Legend Mining’s exciting Mawson nickel discovery and IGO’s Silver Knight nickel deposit.
In the Paterson Province, the Koongulla copper-gold project covering 904km2 sits to the north and east of Newcrest’s Telfer gold mine and major discoveries of Rio Tinto’s Winu project and Greatland Gold’s Havieron project. A Telfer-like dome structural feature has been identified which is the prime target for testing in 2022.
During 2020 and 2021, the highly motivated and share-holder value-driven Boadicea management has identified strong potential in the prospectivity of tenements in North West Queensland and has been granted the West Ravenswood licence in the Charters Towers region and Clarke Reward in the Drummond Basin.
Further to the north in the Croydon province in Queensland’s Gulf of Carpentaria, Boadicea has applied for the Hanns Gully tenement.
Hanns Gully is located in the Croydon district of North Queensland, an area historically mined for tin with 58 known occurrences within the tenement boundary. It covers an area of 296km2.
At Hanns Gully, Boadicea is targeting greisen style igneous lithium deposits that are strongly associated with tin.
In a strategic move to grow our portfolio into a suite of exploration tenements that target the high-quality electric vehicle metals, Boadicea purchased the Bald Hill East tenement in the Eastern Goldfields. This tenement is interpreted to be along strike of the Bald Hill lithium mine.
2020 and 2021 have been transformational years for Boadicea Resources. Boadicea’s management team is headed by Managing Director Jon Reynolds and supported by Chairman Domenic De Marco and Non Executive Director and technical consultant Graham Purcell. The team is a highly-focused group of professionals determined to deliver exploration success from the company’s strong tenement position of strategically-located licences.
The importance of exploration for the metals that drive the future
The demand for battery metals is at the highest it has ever been and growing weekly. There is no doubt Australian exploration companies have a critical role to play in the discovery of new deposits that will make high grade mines to ensure the world’s green revolution reaches its destination.
Australia is known as one of the world’s richest sources of battery material deposits and when it comes, we have the highest rates of lithium production and exports.
The exploration endeavours of companies like Boadicea Resources is critical in ensuring the discoveries that will drive the future.
Boadicea’s strong nickel exploration focus, together with its partner IGO Ltd, demonstrates a strong commitment to realise our goal to be among a group of successful explorers which has scratched the surface to unearth some of the 19 million tonnes of nickel reserves waiting to be discovered.
Australia is well known to have the largest nickel reserves in the world.
Nickel is a highly sought-after metal used in electrification as it can improve the energy density and storage capacity of electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
